Brush Strokes is a British sitcom that aired on BBC television from 1986 to 1991. Set in south London and written by Esmonde and Larbey, it chronicled the (mainly) amorous exploits of Jacko, a wisecracking house painter (Karl Howman). There were a total of 40 episodes divided across five series. Jacko and Elmo also appeared as a pair of violent psychopaths in the 1989 Comic Relief event on BBC1. Brush Strokes is also used as a recurring gag in Diane Morgan’s 2018 show Cunk On Britain.
